Summary: The Inventory Specialist is responsible for transacting materials from throughout Acorda’s Supply Chain into the Great Plains Inventory system. Working with Finance, Contract Managers and Site Materials Management, the Inventory Analyst coordinates the entry of data and reporting from the system. They will take an active role in physical counts, financial reporting and the overall integrity of the system. The Inventory Specialist will develop training materials and effectively train Associates on their activities within the inventory system
Duties and Responsibilities:
Inventory Management: Based on inventory reports received from Manufacturing Partners, The Inventory Specialist maintains adequate inventory, scheduling and receiving shipments of raw materials as well as scheduling manufacturing. They will alert management to any potential shortages within the supply chain.
Financial reporting and data integrity: The Inventory Specialist will monitor the status of inventory data to identify and resolve inaccuracies as they occur. They communicate regularly with Finance and Materials Management to ensure that inventory is received, costed, stored and consumed on the electronic system in an accurate fashion.
System Training: The Inventory Specialist is expected to become the “Go To” person for Materials Management activities within the Great Plains Inventory System. They will develop training materials, refine existing SOPs and train Associates on their activities in Great Plains.
Education and Experience:
