Summary

The Senior Administrator – IT Applications is responsible for implementing and supporting computer business applications for corporate business departments such as: Quality Assurance, Human Resources, Technical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, and Clinical Operations.

The Senior Administrator – IT Applications is responsible for implementing and supporting computer business applications for corporate business departments such as: Quality Assurance, Human Resources, Technical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, and Clinical Operations.  The Senior Administrator interacts with business users to determine application requirements, write the application code or install commercially available business software, or implement cloud based systems.  The Senior Administrator configures systems to satisfy business requirements and performs computer systems validation to meet regulatory guidelines. The Senior Administrator supports business systems after implementation.  The Senior Administrator can support several applications, both on premise or cloud based, and for different business areas.

  • Define corporate business and user requirements
  • Determines feasibility of computerization
  • Designs computer applications to satisfy requirements
  • Writes custom computer code
  • Installs commercially available software
  • Configures internally hosted and cloud based software
  • Implements and supports “Software as a Service” (SaaS) applications
  • Performs desktop, server, client-server, and cloud based software implementations
  • Writes and Maintains Computer Systems Validation deliverables
  • Writes and Executes application test scripts
  • Liaison with server, network and storage administrators

Education and/or Experience: 

  • Bachelors’ degree in Computer Information Systems, or equivalent knowledge, required. Equivalent knowledge may be obtained by having applicable, up to date, software vendor certification.
  • Minimum of three years applications implementation and support experience required.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
  • Programming experience with languages such as JAVA, C#, .NET, HTML, XML, required.
  • Experience with business applications such as Qumas, Veeva, or SumTotal preferred.

Computer Skills: 

  • Programming experience in Java, C#, .NET
  • Experience supporting business applications such as Qumas, Veeva, SumTotal.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Must have basic knowledge of SQL
  • Familiarity with multiple browsers: Chrome, IE, Safari
